Death is often looked as an end.
It is looked at as a last breath;
but confinement in an earthly body
is the only thing that ends with death.
Death is just a passing on
to somewhere out of sight from earth;
but a being never ceases being,
it continues on to a new birth.
So just because we can't see the ones
who've left the world we live in,
doesn't mean they're separate from us.
Through God, they watch us from within.
Though they pass, we are forever connected
to those who's lives we've touched.
They'll eternally feel your deepest love
in a sincere "thank you very much."

Carly Simon says (or sings):
ReplyDeleteLife is eternal
and Love is immortal
and death is only a horizon
and the horizon is nothing
save the limit of our sight...
I think your poem expounds on that lovely sense of peace that comes from knowing that the experience we call death, is not the limit of someone else's life, but the limit of our sight...the limit of what we are able to see of their life...to see further on the horizon, all you need to do is go up higher!! hugs
