A Palestinian Mother to Her Son

Here's the second song I wrote for my project. It's a lullaby...

Be calm my child, wipe away your tears,
you have the right to be.
Stay calm my child, stand up with your peers,
you are holding the key.
Look calm my child, it's fully crystal clear,
the sights that you have to see.
Live calm my child, overcome your fears,
and join the fight to be free.

[Chorus]:
'Cause son we can be free, free!
Please baby, come with me!
There is no enemy, just those who disagree.
Yes, we shall all be free, free, free, free!

Sit up my child, look up at the moon,
feel the presence of peace.
Stand up my child, you'll be home soon,
back to our house by the beach.
Rise up my child, as free as a balloon,
your fear of falling will decrease.
Just dance my child, to this simple tune.
The tune, yes the tune of peace.

[Chorus]

Be calm mother, wipe away your tears,
you have the right to be.
Live calm my child, overcome your fears,
and join the fight to be free.
